Examination Fee (Non- Refundable): Rs.60/- for Technician Signal Gr.II & Rs. 40/- for all other Technician Gr.III categories. No examination fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability Women/Minorities /Economically Backward candidates having annual family income less than ` 50,000/- For Unreserved/OBC Male candidates not coming within the purview of minority/ economically backward classes/PWD/Ex-Servicemen
Recruitment Process: Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination.
i) Short-listed candidates will be called for verification of original documents according to merit, availability of vacancies and reservation rules.
ii) The standard of questions for the written examinations will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning and Technical Ability.
iii) The question paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages as indicated in para 15. Duration of the examination will be 90 minutes with approximately 100 questions.
iv) There shall be negative marking in written examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
How to Apply: Candidates need to apply through prescribed application format available in the notification, filled up by the candidate in his/her own handwriting, with blue or black ball point pen only and copies of all required certificates and documents, by attaching a passport size photograph and attesting signature and the envelope containing the application should be clearly super scribing ‘Application for the Post/s of —-Category No./s — Centralized Employment Notice No. 04/2012 of RRB/—, Community (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM)’ to the address of concerned RRB, available in the notification by Ordinary Post only
