EAMCET 2013

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad is going to conduct Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET – 2013) for entry in to the first year of the various Under Graduate Professional courses offered for the academic year 2013 - 2014 in the University and Private unaided and affiliated Professional colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Courses:
  • B.E., BTech. / BTech. (Bio-Tech) / BTech (Diary Technology) / BTech (Ag. Engineering) / B. Pharmacy / BTech (Food Science and Technology (FST) / B.Sc. (Commercial Agri. & Business Mgt. (CA & BM)
  • B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc
  • MBBS / BDS
  • BAMS / BHMS / BNYS
  • Pharm – D
Eligibility: 
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for EAMCET
Candidates should be of India Nationality or Persons of India Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders and Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh
For Engineering, Bio- Technology, BTech (Dairy Technology), BTech (Ag. Engineering) and for 50% seats in B. Pharmacy, BTech (Food Science and Technology (FST) / B.Sc. (Commercial Agri & Business Mgt. (CA & BM)) Courses:
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology or any other examination recognized as equivalent
  • Candidate must obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2
  • In the case of Engineering and Pharmacy courses, candidates must have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit
  • In the case of BTech (Dairy Technology), BTech. (Ag. Engineering), BTech. (FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates as on 31st December of the year Admissions
For B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for remaining 50% seats in BTech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA & BM) Courses:Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 pattern or any examination
recognized as equivalent thereto with any two / three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below:
With and two of the subjects:
  • B.Sc. (Ag.) - (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences, (iii) Agriculture, (iv) Vocational Course in Agriculture
  • B.Sc. (Hort.) - (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences, (iii) Agriculture, (iv) Vocational Course in Agriculture
  • B.V.Sc. & A.H. (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
  • B.F.Sc. - (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences, (iii) Vocational Course in Fishery Sciences
  • BTech. (Food Science) - (i) Mathematics, (ii) Physical Sciences or (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
  • B.Sc. (CA & BM) - (i) Mathematics (ii) Physical Sciences or (i) Physical Sciences, (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
  • Note: (1) Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in EAMCET
  • Age: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates as on 31st December of the year of Admissions
For MBBS / BDS Courses (as per GO Ms.No. 195 dated 07-07-2011):(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 pattern or
equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks taken together at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to ST / SC and BC the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks
(ii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission
For BAMS / BHMS / BNYS Courses:
(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject
(ii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and there is no maximum age limit for admission into BAMS / BHMS
For admission into BNYS course, candidates must not have completed 22 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. For SC and ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be extended by 3 years
For B. Pharmacy Course: (Remaining 50 % of the seats):
(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology optionals
(ii) Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination
(iii) Candidates must have completed 16 years of Age by the date of commencement of Admissions. There is no upper age limit
For Pharm – D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates):
(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 with Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology optionals or must have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State
Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training
(ii) Candidates must obtain at least 45 % marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination
(iii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission to the course

Entrance Test Date & Timings:

• For Engineering Stream (E): 10-05-2013 from 10.00 AM to 1.00PM
• For Agriculture & Medical Stream (AM): 10-05-2013 from 02.30 PM to 5.30PM
Test Centre will be allotted at Hyderabad / Secunderabad only
